Growing Industry Consultancy with a fantastic working environment, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Medical Writer to be based in their North East, Buckinghamshire or London Office.

As a Senior Medical Writer in the Medical Communications Team, you’ll take full responsibility for and manage the day-to-day delivery of all assigned editing/writing projects. You’ll develop and deliver written materials in line with client requirements (internal/external), timelines, the editorial policy and the ABPI Code of Practice.
Further responsibilities include both writing and editing, ensuring all written material is: appropriately pitched, on brief when delivered and to deadline. Provide strategic input and direction (e.g. publication plans, consultancy) to clients, as needed as well as developing relationships and interact with clients and key opinion leaders (clinical, industry, NHS), as appropriate. Further responsibilities include:
Participate in the cross checking of editorial work, Identification, liaison and management of freelance medical support, provide in-house editorial review of work undertaken by freelance writers, advise on publishing activities and to support in new business initiatives, including attendance at pitches.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interpret and fulfil client briefs in a creative and technically accurate manner.
Sound understanding of science and medicine, the healthcare environment and the Medical Education industry coupled with a working knowledge of the publishing industry. Ability to seek out, critically appraise and appropriately cite published information.
Life science degree and a sound understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice
