JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Managing Director, this is an exciting opportunity to take full responsibility for the leadership of the operations of the Pharmacovigilance business for this leading scientific consulting group serving a range of pharma clients.

BACKGROUND

• Direct line management responsibility for a large team.
• Leading scientific consulting group serving a wide range of leading pharmaceutical clients
• Essex based

PRIMARY DUTIES

Manage the day-to-day operations of the PV business of this scientific consulting group

Manage, motivate, develop and lead members of the PV team

Manage resources efficiently and effectively to achieve the company’s objectives

Take a leadership role in developing the company culture and values

Develop the process and systems necessary to ensure that the company will meet both the current and future legislation requirements associated with providing a compliant Pharmacovigilance service and still be cost effective

Oversee the process of recruiting and managing employees of the company

Ensure that the company achieves its strategic objectives

Provide leadership and direction to staff

Ensure that appropriate internal audit processes and procedures are in place

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Proven substantial experience in a managerial PV position
• Life sciences degree
• Strong interpersonal skills in order to be client facing when required.
• Polished communicator who can motivate others.
• Agility is definitely a key trait required in this busy consultancy environment.
