About us

AXESS was formed in 1990 to provide an expert and knowledgeable recruitment service to candidates and clients in the pharmaceutical industry. We specialise in executive level jobs and interim positions and as our senior consultants have worked within the industry we can understand the recruitment needs of both candidate and client and give professional and effective advice on recruitment strategy.

The Company

AXESS is a limited company registered in the UK which is owned by its current management team, Beth Thomas-Stonier and Ian Thomas. We are a focused and specialist pharmaceutical industry recruitment business. We are well financed, have no debt and focus on delivering a steady level of revenue and profit growth through providing an excellent and repeatable service for our customers. In 2010 we recorded our seventh record year in a row with a 12% increase in revenue.

Our Services

We provide a range of recruitment services to our clients. We don’t believe that “one size fits all”. Our aim is to provide our clients with flexible tailored solutions that meet their needs on time and on budget. Our processes are designed to ensure a good, long-term fit, regardless of whether the job is for an interim contract or a senior permanent placement.

Our Management

Our Directors have all operated at board level in pharmaceutical, healthcare and CRO businesses. This means that we have a real understanding of the resourcing and retention challenges facing our clients – and our candidates’ requirements to manage their careers in a professional and planned manner.

Our Team

The majority of our team have also worked within the industry; and those who have not bring significant professional recruitment and search experience. Our team has a wealth of experience within the sector and work with state of the art web-based recruitment tools, as well as a significant relational database. Each functional area has a dedicated resourcer who is able to give candidates and clients advice on the latest pharmaceutical career trends and opportunities. We like to meet candidates on a face to face basis. This ensures that staff requirements can be met quickly with the right calibre candidates.
